1/12 - Birthday and baptisim!

From Momma:
-Aly was baptized this morning.
We are so blessed.
With Julia's healing, Kenzie's adoption and Aly's baptism.
So exciting.
Also I want to invite everyone to a Praise Service at First Baptist in Owensville on Friday the 24th. I'm not sure on the time yet but it will be evening. This will be a service praising and thanking God for the healing He has given Juls
So please come out and join us.

1/9 - Just BEING at home

From Momma:
-It's hard for me to post when we are home....
Juls is feeling good.
She started eating again today.
Yay!!
She's watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles...her new favorite.
She's counting down till her birthday. ...only 16 more days and she'll be 4.
Praise be to God that she'll see four.

From Grandpa David:
- We got to have breakfast with Julia and family at McDonald's this morning, Julia managed to eat about 1/4 of her pancakes which is a big improvement. Later I heard she had ate a whole grilled cheese sandwich and was wanting more. You go girl! So happy she is finally wanting to eat again. Julia will be getting her leg looked at on Monday then will resume chemo treatment on Friday. I am so thankful that God has shown his blessing on Julia and her body healing her of this awful cancer. I ask God to continue to lift Rachel and Richie up through this long process Julia will still be receiving 15 more rounds of chemo. I can't wait for the day that Julia will be able to walk down the hall and ring that bell signaling that she is done and cancer free what a glorious day that will be praise the Lord.

1/7 - Schedule changes

From Momma:
-Trying to find anything that this Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle will eat! She hasn't eaten much today...she's gotta start eating soon.
They changed her schedule so now they will check her leg next Monday and start chemo the following Friday. Which breaks my heart cause I really thought we'd have January free and would be able to celebrate her birthday outta the hospital. It doesn't really matter to her but it really bothers me. But I guess we are getting the chemo train back on track and on to the finish line.
15 more rounds to go 11 done.

From David:
-Julia's schedule has changed again. She now has to go back to the doctor Jan 13th which is Monday for her leg, and then start back with chemo on Fri. We thought they were going to give her 6 weeks to recover with her leg, but Rachel received a call today changing all that. Julia is doing really good but still is not wanting to eat. Thankfully she is drinking sweet tea and choc. milk. She wanted some chicken on a stick from Chinese restaurant so I took her some, but by time I got there she was sleeping. I hope she will still want them when she wakes up. Rachel removed a lot of the bandage from her leg today and changed the dressings now the bottom of her foot is unwrapped and we are hoping that she will try and walk on it some. We are just so thankful for all the progress she has shown in such a small time Thank the Lord.

1/6 - Mary doesn't want to talk about it!

This is Mary, one of Julia's friends from Children's, you may have met her in one of the dance, wig, or slumber parties, or chemo color comparison photos.

She's quite the song writer, though she has apprently decided to be a doctor!

1/5 - Hopping with PawPaw

From Grandpa David:
-Julia is home enjoying herself the best she can. She is trying to hop on one leg to get around the house. She's been playing, laughing, and showing that great smile. She can start putting some weight on her other leg when she feels comfortable with it. Praying that everyone is home safe during this nasty winter storm. Richie had to work 12 hrs. last night and will have to be out in it again tonight. Pray that these MODOT workers have safe travel as they try to keep our roads open. Because of their great work I was able to go down to Rosebud and take Miss Julia a sweet tea and Mommy a Dr. Pepper I needed to go down to the store for a couple of things and used that for a excuse to stop in and see Juls.

1/4 - Yeeehaw for Juls!

From Momma:
-Juls told our waitress her yucky bone is gone so they grabbed the saddle (video here!)


-Thumbs up for feeling good and getting outta here soon. She says we are going to Texas Road House. Hoping they open at noon!
Phil Robertson, Juls says her wish is to meet you. ..praying Make-a-Wish makes that possible!!
Praising God in all His glory for all He has done for Juls.

1/3 - Surgery day success!

From Momma:
-This warrior showed cancer who's boss!!
With God you can do anything including beat cancer! She's now Hefty Smurf and she's wearing lots of tattoos.
She's doing great tonight.

-She's not waking up to happy but that's ok.
She drank a whole sweet tea and won't take her pain meds cause she says she's not in pain. She's going to rest some more.
Thank you all for the prayers.

He is so amazing

-We got started early and just got finished with her surgery. The surgeon said there was no mass to remove. ...I love hearing that. He said it all went fine and she's doing great

-Juls is still asleep but soon we will be on our way to Children's for her surgery.
Her surgery is scheduled at 1:30 and shouldn't take to long. They are removing her tibia where the cancer originated.
She should come home tomorrow. Once shes all healed then she starts full force with the chemo again.
Please continue to pray for her during all this. Also pray for her appetite shes not eating but is drinking milk.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who came out and gave blood or volunteered yesterday in honor of Juls. I was so upset when I found out I couldn't give.

-Great News!!! Julia's surgery was a success and her doctor came and talked with us after surgery, and told us there was no sign of her mass in the leg. They removed the bone and all went well with surgery. She was taken up to a room and wasn't real happy at first, but it didn't take long and we were getting smiles and laughter from her. So far she is on very little pain meds. once she said she had just a tiny bit of pain so the gave her some med. to help head of any pain. She wanted pickles to eat we told her she didn't like pickles because of the changes in her taste. She told us that the bone causing her tastes to change and now she wanted pickles again and boy did she eat pickles. Then Sherbert ice cream then choc milk with real choc. syrup not choc milk from a bottle. She was doing so good we finally left to come home and she puckered up for a kiss, but said only one Paw Paw. We give God all the praise and glory for the miracles that have happened with Julia and in our lives.

1/2 - Blood Drive!

From Grandpa David:
-The numbers are in " 143 units collected" that's amazing. Thanks again to everyone that came out to give blood for Juls.

-Blood drive in Julia's honor was a huge success!! 160 people signed in to donate not sure of the actual collected count they are just about to finish up. Huge THANK YOU to all that came to give and especially all the volunteers and Red Cross workers. I heard today that there is 5 teams that work out of the Columbia office and they sent 3 teams to Owensville expecting a good turn out and you all showed them they were right. This drive couldn't have been possible without each of you taking the time out of your busy schedules to come and support us and the Red Cross!! We thank the Lord for this wonderful day and for each of you. Tomorrow at 1:30 will be Julia's surgery so please continue to keep her in your prayers.

-Remember today is the day for donating blood we are having a great turnout so far, but lets push it over the top. This is in honor of Julia.

From Grandma Mary Ann:
-Julia spent the day with me again yesterday. We had tea parties, played Pop the Pig, farm, and of course, Lion King. What a strong, uplifting little girl she is. She sat with me at the piano and sang a song to me "Jesus went to the cross for our sins so we can go to Heaven. We don't want to go to hell where Satan is, we want to go to Heaven where Papa Rich lives" (sang to the tune of Jesus Loves Me). Julia has helped me so much during the past 9 months since her Papa Rich passed away. When Julia was diagnosed with cancer, we were all so devastated. Getting the results from her scans was such a miracle! What a joy she is and I thank God every day for her and His healing power upon her. I pray her surgery goes well tomorrow and she has a quick recovery. May God continue to Bless her and keep the cancer away forever. Thank you all for your continued prayers and support. We can't thank you enough. Praise God for all He has done!

-Several months ago, I was sitting at home thinking how I wish I could give blood! And so I thought if I can't give blood maybe I can get a blood drive together for her. My way of helping. :) I met with Amanda Schlottach with the Red Cross and the Dedicated Blood Drive for Julia Stone was put into action!!! I put a message on here asking for help... So many responded. I had some amazing and wonderful people step up to the plate and threw everything they had at helping getting this going!!! Special shout out to those women!!! Peggy Farrell, Nancy Souders, Jeanne Zelch, Tonya Zelch, Rae Figgemeier, you are all some special kind of awesome!!! Thank you for your help so much!!!
We had 160 people sign up and try to give blood and 143 units were collected!!!!!! How awesome is that?!?!

That means today in honor of our princess Juls we have potentially impacted 429 lives!!!

Thank you all so much!! And I'm proud to say I was one of the 143 people!!!!! That in itself is awesome to me!!! They have never allowed me to give but today I was able to!!!! :)

1/1/14 - Save lives in 2014

From Grandpa David:
-Snow is starting to come down and our MODOT trucks and works are out trying to keep our roads in good shape so please drive careful and remember to leave plenty of room for them to do their jobs. The Blood Drive in Honor of Julia will be tomorrow and we are looking for a large turn out and are praying for safe travel for everyone. Your blood donation comes at a very important time for the American Red Cross. Blood donations are especially needed during the winter months, when donations typically decline. In addition, inclement weather across the country has caused many cancelled blood drives. Please do your part to provide blood for our hospital patients.

Our goal is to collect 100 units of blood! Because every pint of blood can potentially save 3 lives, 300 hospital patients are counting on us! Let's make it happen!

12/31 - Recap of 2013 from PawPaw

From Grandpa David:
-2013 has been a roller coaster of a year for us from finding out Julia has Stage 4 Ewing Sarcoma cancer and only being given a 20% chance of making it, to the miracle given to us by our Heavenly Father healing Julia, taking her cancer away!! From meeting all of you, helping in every way fundraiser, prayers, just taking time to stop and say we are here. The prayer family that has grown huge supporting Julia during these last few months thank you all. Meeting the other families at
Children's going through the same battles and worries that we have been. We have grown closer to them with a common bond of beating this evil cancer. Julia is doing great and we give God all the praise for He is the ultimate Healer. We are looking forward to 2014 expecting great things to happen and see what God has in store for Julia and all of us this year. We wish each of you a happy and safe New Years Eve and a glorious new year. Looking forward to seeing everyone next year!!!!!
