About Me

Please join us to support a brave little girl in the fight of her life. Julia (Juls) Stone was recently diagnosed with and will BEAT stage four Ewing Sarcoma, a rare form of childhood bone cancer. She is a sweet and spunky little girl with a great deal of spirit. Her greatest champions are her mom and dad - Richie and Rachel. She is part of a loving Christian family made up of Richie, Rachel, 3 adopted children (Mackenzie, Ally, and Andrew) and two biological children (Julia and Ahnika). The family lives in southern Missouri and must travel to Children’s Hospital in St. Louis for Juls’ treatments. The medical and travel costs will be enormous so Team Juls is lending support in any way possible. We are rallying together to provide prayers, well-wishes and fundraising events. We aim to lend spiritual and emotional support and to ease the financial impact of medical/travel expenses for Juls' family during this tough time. Please join the fight with Team Juls!
There are a several ways to lend your support for Juls, so please reference the How You Can Help tab for more information. Thank you for your prayers all the support!

Rejoice and have good cheer!

Specific prayer request of the day: Praise the Lord for the healing, the faith and the great day today and many ahead!

From Momma:
-Many people have told me how my daughter is an inspiration to them and that their faith is restored. I'm like Mary when she said "she hides these things in her heart and ponders on them"
It's my belief that good will come from this as I feel it already has. The way this community has pulled together for my little girl is amazing! I hope many people will see the work of the Lord in my daughter and have their faith renewed or come to know the Lord. People tell me I have amazing faith....but really without my faith in the Lord I'd have nothing!!
I have full trust, hope, faith in the lord that he will heal her. I believe it will be my faith that heals her and the prayers of many!!!
So please Praise the Lord for the healing he has given Julia. Lets praise Him as He finds favor in us and shines His radiant face upon us!!!!
Julia has had a great day.....let us rejoice

-She's cheer bear today
I ordered her that costume while in the hospital she's so excited

Home again and HUGE Success!

Specific prayer request of the day: Pray for Julia's health tonight and the whole family as they're happy and adapting to being home again!

From Momma:

-Juls received a package today with a smurf hat!!! Shes so smurfin happy!!!!

-Pray for Juls tonight as I made a mistake administering her iv meds!! I called hospital they think shell be fine but I have to keep an eye on her. When hooking up the meds to the tubes I'm supposed to prime tubes with meds so that no air gets in her veins... well I forgot and did it twice!!
Two nurses came out to teach me how to give her meds I had a quick lesson which was interrupted several times by my kids. I remember them telling me to prime the tubes but forgot when I was giving her meds.
I'm supposed to be just a mom not a nurse. Incorporating my other kids life with Juls new life is very overwhelming but something I'm going to have to learn
Please pray for Juls tonight and our whole family

-We get back to rosebud and juls says mommy lets go to the Chinese restaurant......

- Her anc is 2800
Yay

-Julia will be coming home today!! Shell be on her iv antibiotic for another 10 days. Her counts are up and fever is gone. Please pray that she can remain "healthy" so we can enjoy our time at home. Please pray for her strength and her immune system. Pray her counts keep going up and stay up.
Praise god for the healing that hes giving my daughter. Pray for her scans to astonish the doctors and show Gods glory. The doctors are definitely not giving us any hope. But then again I don't have hope in doctors I have hope in GOD.

From Grandpa David:
- A big HIGH 5 to everyone that supported the tee shirt Campaign 733 shirts sold Amazing Our family is so grateful for all the Love and support everyone has been giving. A special Thanks to Rachel Emling for starting the shirt Campaign who would have believed it would end like this. To add to this great day Juls got to come home. Let's pray that all goes well and that she can stay home for a while. She got to spend a little time playing with her friend Tara Rogers they laughed and ran it was so exciting to see. Very Special Day!!!!

-Julia was sleeping when I got to hospital she must of had a hard night she slept till almost 11:00. We were so happy to hear her numbers had jumped up. I started trying to wake her up she was a little slow waking but when she finally did she had that big smile she wanted her go gurts and cheese sticks glad to see her wanting to eat, she really had a big smile when a aid brought in a big cooler bag it had a stuffed puppy dog on top and was filled with Strawberry Go Gurt. She was in very good spirts and laughing. She had to get another blood transfusion to boost her red blood cells after the transfusion she was able to be unhooked from her Iv lines and get dressed then the real fun began. See other post to see her having a great day, so wonderful seeing her having such a good day, if everything continues to go well she may get to come home today.

How Great is Our God - Loss and Counts

Specific prayer request of the day: Please pray for the family of the little girl who lost her fight today. Pray for Rachel and Richie as they're strong every day for Juls and the kiddos at home.

From Momma:
-Julia is waiting for another bubble in this picture. As you can see her hair is almost gone except a curl on each side which will be gone tomorrow.
Thanks Kevin Sullivan for making Julia smile

- Today is extremely hard for me. With that little girl passing..... Julia doctor spoke to us today about doing a stem cell transplant either when she's in remission or if it comes back. It would kill every bone marrow cell where she would not be able to make any more of her own then transplant her old cells back in....I don't really get it but its the "newest" thing. They are going to collect her cells soon and then later rich and I will decide if we are going to do it.
The dr was nice but very honest about her disease saying how it is very hard to treat and the nation doesn't have a good treatment and it's very hard to kill and that it comes back in most cases. It was very hard to hear. As he was saying this someone turned on the radio and the song " How Great is Our God" was playing....it was wonderful to hear because everything the doctor was saying wasn't. After the song was over they shut off the radio.
I need prayer today. This is the hardest struggle .....but How Great is our God.

-This sweet girl, same age as Mckenzie lost her battle this morning. Please pray for her family

-Sleeping beauty has an ANC of 40! That's better then 0. Some cultures came back negative we are still waiting on others. She is currently dreaming of
Mckenzie, she keeps saying Kenzie leave me alone.

From Grandpa David:
-Just got home from Rachel's house she made it home a little while ago. I took the other kids home tonight and got them to bed so in the morning Rachel can spend a little time with them as well. I know it is very difficult for her and Richie to be gone from the rest of the family. Give her the strength and support to try and juggle everything she has to do. Lord give them the peace of mind to know that the children are safe and being loved during their time with Juls. Lord continue to wrap your arm around them and everyone else that is there being cared for because this monster known as cancer is effecting so many other families as well. Lord lift up Susan's family tonight as they mourn the loss of Susan may he be with them as they try to make sense of it. Thank you Lord for all the prayers and support here and across our great Nation there is so much Love being poured out for our little Julia.

Family gathering around

Specific prayer request of the day:  Healing, peace, better counts, healing peace, better counts. And praise for the healing to come!

From Momma:
- I'm laying next to Juls as she finally sleeps. The room is quiet and peaceful. We had to move rooms cause she is having watery stool and she can't be around the other kids :0(
Her ANC (white blood) are still 0
Her bacteria infection is making her belly hurt. She hasn't drank today but has eaten several GO GURTS so if anyone comes and visits bring some strawberry go gurt. Looks like we will be in here a while :0( sorry for all the sad faces. I had this preconceived idea that my daughter is so strong and everyone's praying for her so chemo wasn't gonna effect her and she was gonna be fine. I guess that was naive. Poor baby....
Please pray for her tonight
For all those things. Continue to praise God for His healing.
It's hard for me as I see all this going on with her but this is only temporary. I know in the end she will be healed

-This is now one of Julia's best friends although she barely spoke to her today cause both girls are sick. Please pray for her as you pray for Julia. Praying for Little Janet

From Grandpa David:
-Juls not feeling to hefty today she's been just laying in bed most of the day. She has a bacteria infection from inside her body doctors trying to pin down what it is so they can treat it. Her pretty locks are starting to come loose , but they will come back as beautiful as ever wish I could be there to hold her and play with her but right now were needed here. Took kids out to farm again to play with Jake they gave treats to the horse and cows also they didn't want to leave. Have a good night hugs to all!!!

From Grandma Maryann:
-I spent the day at the hospital with Juls yesterday. She's such a little angel! She's so amazing - she doesn't complain. She perked up for a couple of hours and we played games on the Kindle her Grandma Carol had gotten for her. What a precious time to just sit by her with my arms around her and see her smile. I know Jesus has his loving arms around her all the time and know that Juls knows He is with her. Please keep praying for this beautiful little girl - she's exceptional as anyone who saw her with her Papa Rich when he was so sick could see. Please also keep praying for Richie, Rachel, Aly, Andrew, and McKenzie. Thank all of you so much for all the prayers and support. We're all so amazed by everyone's kindness. Thank you again from us all.

From Aunt Stephie:
-Miss Jul's the day she came home from the hospital. She wanted to be a flower. Got to love that beautiful smile!

Good and bad counts

Specific prayer request of the day:  Pray for Julia's infection to be identified quickly and for the treatment to be swift, effective and easy on her. Pray for her counts to recover exponentially so that she can spend some time at home with her brother and sisters before her next round. Pray that at her next scan that this ugly cancer will be gone and we can have our angel back!!!
Please pray for my three big kids as the go back to school tomorrow. Give them peace and comfort
*also pray for our roommate the type of cancer she has has never been seen before anywhere in the USA. Its a mutant type cancer that's completely unknown and she is 4.

From Grandpa Dave:
-Talked with Rachel a few mins. ago Juls was resting Doctors say this is best thing for her right now. Hopefully they will find out soon what bug she has so they can give right med. to heal it. She did wake up for a little while and was sitting up she gave Rachel her big smile, she has that smile that can brighten anyone's day. Rest little one so your body can heal and I pray that Rachel and Richie can also get some rest, I know there is no comfortable place to rest in those rooms. Give her a big hug and a kiss from Paw Paw Dave and out stretch arms around the rest of you too. The kids are sleeping and doing fine!!!!!

From Momma:
- Tonight I ask that you continue to pray for Julia. Pray that her infection and fever go away. Pray that her ANC counts go up to 1500. Pray her mouth sores are healed. Pray that she can have a few good days at home with her family before her next round of chemo. Pray that at her next scan that this ugly cancer will be gone and we can have our angel back!!!
I'm exhausted but my faith is not!
Please pray for my three big kids as the go back to school tomorrow. Give them peace and comfort
*also pray for our roommate the type of cancer she has has never been seen before anywhere in the USA. Its a mutant type cancer that's completely unknown and she is 4

-Juls is watching a movie and I was running my hands through her hair when I noticed I had a hand full of her hair in my hand. She didn't even notice....most of you know her curly locks just came in this past year. It just broke my heart to see it in my hands. I knew it was going to happen...but I'm still not prepared

- I just love this picture it was taken on the 13th of august
Look at her beautiful curls

-Pain meds kicked in!!!! She is on 2 hefty pain meds 2 different mega antibiotics and regular fluids. Her blood work came back positive for a fast growing bacteria not sure what kind yet. This is the first time shes been awake all day and first smile

- So Julia's ANC which is what fights infection is 0. She cannot leave until its up to a healthy level which may mean another transfusion. She has an infection somewhere and is running fever. She cant leave until all those things are taken care of so looking at a week maybe longer! She cant eat cause her mouth hurts so bad. They are giving away her a drip of pain meds. Please pray for her. And the rest of my kids....I miss them like crazy

-Poor baby her fever is 102.0 not good

Amazing fundraising update from Josh
THANK YOU SO MUCH Josh Wagner and all his derby buddies, Macon County Demo Derby, and Macon County Fire! Here's a couple amazing notes and a prayer from him:
~ As I truck out to Kansas tonight I pray in the name of Jesus that lord you lay your healing hands upon miss Juls and take the infection out of her body so when she wakes up in the morning she wants to go to the garden and do crafts and her blood count hits 1500. So she can come back home . I have faith in your healing powers. Amen~

-We were able to sell 22 stickers which was $355 dollars . And the benefit raffle plus the fire boot brought $3,012.00 with that totaling $3,367.00 . Plus we are suppose to receive a check from a local Macon, Missouri business with a undisclosed amount. I will be presenting this to the Stone family this week . It was a amazing weekend . All for you JULS

Transfusion Day and Bold Prayers

Specific prayer request of the day: BOLDLY pray for her sickness to be gone!

From Grandpa:
-Juls is finally receiving her blood transfusion it took them a hour and half to match her blood. Her temp. came up to 100 degrees if it reaches 101 they will admit her. For her and her parents peace of mind it might be better if they did to watch her. It is a long drive back if they get home and it spikes. Rachel were all praying for you.

From Momma:
-I don't believe for a second God gave my little girl cancer but I do believe if I profess with my mouth His healing power over her she will be healed. I have faith that God is working to remove the cancer. But tonight with my trust and faith in God I boldly pray for her sickness to be gone! I pray her blood count will rise. I pray she will be fever free. I boldly pray that God fill her body with His healing spirit. She will be a testimony to many of God's healing powers. I also pray that she won't have to endure all her scheduled chemo for I believe she will be cured before then. All these things I ask in God's name.

-Julia's transfusion went well today she got a low fever which we have to watch her if it goes up we have to rush to ER. She is so tired and is resting now.
I want to say THANK YOU to everyone who is praying for her. THANK YOU to everyone who is doing a fundraiser. THANK YOU to everyone who has donated towards her. This community is amazing and we have amazing friends.
THANK YOU

-Another thing to add to my prayer list is Julia woke up in pain because she's now getting sores in her mouth a common side effect of chemo. The sores are on her tongue and down her throat.

Day Six of Chemo

August 19th, 2014 - Day Six - Roughest Yet

Specific prayer request of the day:  (requested by family as Rachel hasn't made a request yet today) Pray for strength for the whole family, particularly Rachel and Richie in the hospital with Julia all this week. Pray for peace for them as they lead their family in faith through action, and as they get to take her home. Continue to pray for strong counts and healing for Juls as she could go home tomorrow.

From Momma:
-Today was the roughest day for Juls. She couldn't eat drink or really move. She went to the garden a few times but just sat with her head in my lap. So sad. I hope the next couple days she starts feeling better. Today was the roughest for me too. So overwhelming with all the "education" they throw at you and then run out. Plus seeing my baby sick :0(

-She finished her first round chemo last night
She had 5 days of it so now she will rest for 2 weeks. Then its back for more. She definitely doesn't feel well today :0( hopefully going home tomorrow will change that.

Thank you from Grandpa David:
-I would like to offer a special Thanks to everyone that has helped us get Juls home ready for her return tomorrow. God has played a big role in providing us with the tools and needs, we were needing to have the ducts cleaned and I look up and the cleaning truck was pulling into the gas station right next to us and it just happened to be one of Rachel's best friends from school they came from the station right over and did the job. We needed someone to lay some carpet and at 5:00 Alex shows up with his tools 2 hrs later the job was done JUST AMAZING again thank you all we couldn't have done it with out you!!!!!

-Julia just got a huge bag of goodies from Matt and Robin Richardson-Leach she is so excited. Shes feeling good
Please keep praying for continued well being and minimal side effects.

-I forgot how cute she was as a baby Julia is 7 months in this picture. I used to stare at her at night and think to myself how could anyone say there is no God!
As I walked the hallways last night looking at all these hospital rooms with kids with cancer I pray for all of them and again think to myself how can anyone say there is no god! I hope the drs can see what an amazing child Julia is. And i pray when they do her scans again in 12 weeks all of her cancer will have "melted" away. This is possible....GOD can make it possible

Day One of Chemo

August 14th, 2013 - Day One of Chemo

Specific prayer request of the day: Please pray for Juls specifically that she has minimal side effects and sickness. Chemo side effects could start soon but with prayers these could be not a problem for her
Please PRAY

Hefty Smurf and Handy Smurf
From Grandpa Dave:
Just got home a little while ago from Children's Julia was such a trooper.
She seemed a little worried when she first went in, they took her back and put in her medicine tube, she was a a little slow waking back up from surgery, but once she did she was right back to the smiling angel we all know. She is getting her first round of chemo this evening. She will be receiving for 5 days if she does well and her body tolerates everything ok she may get to come home next Wed. The whole chemo process will take about a year. Prayer will be needed for a long time. If you see her She's Hefty Smurf not a girl now and I'm am Handy Smurf not Paw Paw Dave because I have the tools she's my little sweetheart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Playing with Legos while she gets her first treatment

-It's 1:30 am and we are still awake not sure whats making Julia so awake. She has to go to the bathroom every 30 min. Shes getting so much fluid to flush her system. Hopefully shell be asleep soon

-I feel sorry for anyone going through this who doesn't know Christ. How could they cope and deal with this. While meeting with the oncology team I felt calm and assured. I told the team that my GOD is bigger then this and they need to expect a miracle because it's gonna happen
Feeling so blessed right now

-Yay for 300! Maybe we can hit 600 could you imagine!
Juls is outta surgery when she wakes up we will go to the 9th floor for chemo

-We are off to children's today shell receive her central line and chemo.
I want to say how thankful I am to EVERYONE! I have a overwhelming peace and comfort today as we begin this journey. God has given me reassurance that she is going to beat this. I have no doubt in my mind. So please pray for her strength and health during chemo. That the side effects will be minimal! Also I ask everyone to PRAISE God now for the healing he is given!!

Meet Juls!

This is Julia, affectionately known as Juls. She is three years old, spunky, and rambunctious. She is a big sister and a little sister. She has tons of energy, an undeniable spirit, and cancer. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy for Ewing Sarcoma. Monday they told us she has Stage 4 in her liver, lymph nodes, and lungs, as well as a mass in her leg.

In just the past two days a huge viral campaign has been launched to help financially, emotionally and spiritually support Juls and her family.  We have links on the page if you'd like to help, and we set up this blog specifically for updates on her condition/her family to share with you.

Prayers, donations and words of encouragement are always welcome.

God bless!
